Frequently asked questions

How do I book Jeff?

Email Jeff@JeffryStein.com or use the contact form at jeffrystein.com/contact. Tell Jeff the date, the audience, the format you have in mind, and what you're hoping the audience walks away with. He typically replies within two business days with a fit assessment and a quote.

What are typical fees?

Fees vary by talk length, audience size, format (in-person vs. virtual), and travel requirements. Jeff prices each engagement after a short scoping conversation. Nonprofit, education-sector, and government rates are available where the engagement fits Jeff's three signature topics. For exact pricing on a specific date, reach out with the details.

Does Jeff travel?

Yes. Jeff is US-based and travels nationally for keynote engagements. International engagements are considered for events with a clear audience fit. Travel costs are billed at cost.

What formats does Jeff offer?

Keynote (30 to 90 minutes), workshop (90 minutes to half-day), virtual keynote (Zoom/Teams-optimized with live interaction), and hybrid (in-room plus virtual audience). Each of Jeff's three signature talks can be delivered in any of these formats — the per-talk pages list the typical run-time options.

How far in advance should I book?

For preferred dates, booking three to six months in advance is recommended. Jeff occasionally accepts shorter-notice engagements where the audience and topic are a strong fit — reach out, and he'll let you know quickly whether the date works.

Can Jeff customize the talk for our audience?

Yes — every engagement is shaped to the specific audience. Jeff typically does a 30-minute scoping call with the event lead before the talk to learn the audience's current situation, the internal language they use, and what success looks like for the engagement. The structure of the talk stays consistent; the examples, stories, and applied moments are tuned to your context.

What tech does Jeff need on stage?

For in-person events: a wireless lavalier or handheld microphone, confidence monitor if available, and the ability to project a small number of slides. For virtual events: stable internet, the ability to receive Jeff's slide deck shared from his laptop, and a producer who can manage chat / Q&A during the session. Jeff travels with his own slides on a personal device.

Does Jeff record his talks?

Recording is the event's call. If you want to record for internal use or for promotional purposes, mention it during scoping and Jeff will share his usage agreement. Jeff retains rights to his core content; events get usage rights for their specific purpose.

What if our event doesn't quite fit Jeff's three named talks?

Jeff's three signature keynotes cover most of the territory he works in, but he does build custom talks when the audience and topic are a strong match for his expertise (humor-led delivery, leadership consciousness work, mindfulness, organizational culture, the inside-job of success). Reach out with what you have in mind — if it's not a fit, Jeff will say so directly and recommend speakers who might fit better.
